Emergencies: If you are having a serious emergency, such as chest pain, shortness of breath, bleeding, etc., call 911 or go directly to the nearest emergency room! If you need to speak to someone at HFMC on an urgent basis, call 726-1600. Do not use e-mail to contact the HFMC for potentially emergency-type problems.

You may use e-mail to contact your PCP doctor for simple questions, status reports and/or updates on your condition, etc. For complicated issues, please schedule an appointment to see your doctor. Your illness will not be diagnosed or treated via e-mail.
Note: Be aware that e-mail may generally not provide the same level of
confidentiality as telephone or U.S. mail communications. Your e-mails will be
printed out by HFMC staff, attached to your chart, and placed on the desk of
the person to whom they are directed. Generally, this aspect of the
communications is secure from outside eyes, but diversion could occur via the
ISP or through e-mail monitoring by network supervisors, so keep that in mind
anytime you send anyone an e-mail.
